Irma, Eircom deal just gets better…

This one will just run and run. Not content with their well thought out plan of introducing three strikes and you’re off the network, Irma is now going to start targetting websites it doesn’t like. Excellent plan.

So now Irma, armed with a court order, will dictate whether or not Eircom customers can access a site. And Eircom? Apparently they say they won’t oppose the application to block a site.

Adrian Weckler blogged about it here , complete with Eircom’s clarification that Irma will still need to make a case to get a court order.

Personally, I’ll make it a point to give my business to another ISP. One that doesn’t cave in quite so easily to demands like this.
